Playing Cactus League Games
with the Microsoft Vista^TM Operating System

This article is designed to show you what to expect when you install and play Cactus League Games with the Microsoft Vista Operating System. Cactus League College Basketball Version 2008 and Cactus League Professional Basketball Version 2008 fully support Microsoft Vista. Previous versions of these games were developed before Vista existed and do not support it.

We performed a clean installation of Windows Vista RC1 Build 5600 on a computer set up with the minimum requirements to run Vista. We accepted all of the default settings and didn't change any options in the operating system.

Then, we installed and played Cactus League Professional Basketball and Cactus League College Basketball. All Cactus League Game installation files that you download from our web site are digitally signed for your protection.

Cactus League Professional Basketball Version 2008

We downloaded Cactus League Professional Basketball from the Cactus League web site, using the instructions that are delivered when an order is placed. After successfully downloading it, we ran the program to install the game. The following dialog was displayed: Double-click the thumbnails for larger pictures. The dialog indicates the name of the installation file and Cactus League Games Inc. If it does not say Cactus League Games Inc. you should not install it and notify us immediately at support@cactusleaguegames.com. You should be wary of running any program that does not specifically tell you what it is and who the publisher is. Click "Continue" to continue the installation. After successfully installing the game, you can start The Access System. When you start The Access System, the following dialog will be displayed: Once again, Cactus League Games Inc. should be displayed. Click "Continue" to start The Access System. Now you can play the game.

Cactus League College Basketball Version 2008

We downloaded Cactus League College Basketball Version 6 from the Cactus League web site, using the instructions that are delivered when an order is placed. After successfully downloading it, we ran the program to install the game. The following dialog was displayed: The dialog indicates the name of the installation file and Cactus League Games Inc. If it does not say Cactus League Games Inc. you should not install it and notify us immediately at support@cactusleaguegames.com. You should be wary of running any program that does not specifically tell you what it is and who the publisher is. Click "Continue" to continue the installation. After successfully installing the game you can start any module to play the game.

Windows Vista User Account Control

It is Windows Vista User Account Control that provides this security. Many of these settings can be changed, but before changing anything, we recommend that you learn more about Vista to make informed decisions about the level of security you want on your computer.
