You will find the Cactus League Professional Basketball Simulation incredibly easy to play. But, don't let the ease of play fool you. This simulation packs more power than any other sports simulation ever created!

Powerful

This simulation truly takes advantage of the "Power Of Your Computer." Imagine this: You can replay a complete season's schedule (it's built in; you don't have to create it) with just a couple of keystrokes. And, let's say you want to coach Chicago. Before you start your schedule, it takes just a couple of seconds to tell the simulation to automatically play all games that don't involve Chicago, but, when a Chicago game comes up on the schedule, set it up for manual play so you can coach them to a championship. It couldn't be easier. The setup, that is. The coaching is up to you!

Stats, Stats, Stats

All statistics are saved automatically. You just play the games and have the fun. The simulation does all the work! This simulation keeps every statistic you can imagine: Complete Individual and Team Statistics; Team Reports; Single Game Highs; Per Game Averages; Leaders; Complete League Standings, including Home and Road Records, Overtime Records and more! You can print out any report in this simulation with just a couple of keystrokes.

Maybe the best part is you can sort any report by any statistical category. For example if you are looking at New York's Individual Statistics and you want to see who the top 3 rebounders are, you can quickly put them in order by rebounds. And, you can do this for any category.

Complete Box Scores

This simulation maintains complete Game Summaries and Box Scores for every game you play (yes, you can view the box score anytime during the game and anytime after the game. All Box Scores are kept permanently in the league's statistics files).

Records

One hundred ninety-eight team and individual records are maintained for each league automatically. You don't have to do a thing! They will be ready to view (or print) anytime you want. You'll be able to keep a permanent record of all the great (and poor) performances in your league! Whenever you wish, you can see which player has scored the most points in a game (or a half; or a quarter), or most rebounds, or most turnovers, or... And, you can merge all of the Record Books for each of your leagues into a Master Record Book that will include your All-Time Best Performances!

Incredibly Accurate Replays

We've already told you about our AutoSchedule Module that lets you easily and quickly replay an entire season. If you missed it, look back to the subtitle "Powerful." There's more! During your replay you can have all roster changes made automatically just when they were made in real life. You won't find this feature in any sports simulation.

Again, you don't have to do anything to use this feature. All roster transactions are already programmed in. Let's think about this for a moment: Many games say they are realistic, but, how can they be if they don't have every player and don't allow you to make actual roster changes. Injuries are a way of life in professional sports. Teams win and lose championships because of them. You want the most accurate replays possible. You want teams and players to perform realistically. Draft Your Own Teams

Cactus League Professional Basketball is delivered to you with each real-life player on their real-life team. But, you can create brand new leagues and teams. In fact, you can set up your own league any way you want. Get your friends together and draft your own teams.

• Just like in real professional basketball, the end of close games has a feel all its own. Lots of strategies are available and the computer coach gets very tough!
  

• Customize speed of Play-By-Play commentary, or play games instantly in seconds. You can even play a game in Instant mode until the 4th quarter, then coach (or watch) the final quarter, or set the Game Speed to"Fast 'til Close." Cactus League Professional Basketball Version 4.0 for DOS requires an IBM PC or compatible with DOS 3.0 (or later), 580K free conventional memory and a hard drive. Cactus League Professional Basketball Version 4.0 for DOS can be run in a DOS window on computers running Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, or Windows ME. Cactus League Professional Basketball Version 4.0 for DOS can be played on a system running Windows XP and a FAT32 file system, when you create a DOS boot disk. A printer is recommended. Cactus League Professional Basketball Version 4.0 will operate with a monochrome or color monitor. Cactus League Professional Basketball Version 4.0 is not copy protected. Technical support is no longer available for Cactus League Professional Basketball For DOS, because it is nearly impossible troubleshoot DOS programs in today's Windows environments.
