Yes, A Woman Has Played Professional Basketball in the ABA

In 1968-69, Penny Ann Early checked into an ABA contest for the Kentucky Colonels. After inbounding the ball, the Colonels called time-out and removed her from the game. So far, she is the only woman to appear in an NBA or ABA contest.
