How It Works

You will receive your first update when you order! Then, each Friday during the regular season, a new Real-Time Update will be released, so you will always be up-to-date. It will include the very latest statistics, ratings, transactions, active/inactive list updates and schedules through the previous Wednesday. It takes about 20 seconds to install each update (easy instructions are included). You'll always be up-to-the-minute. You can play with the update immediately using your Cactus League Professional Basketball For Windows Version 2009 game. All players' statistics and ratings are updated each week. All new players are added. The trades, injuries and suspensions that happened during the week are automatically included. The stock rosters are automatically set for you. With no effort on your part, you are always up-to-date. Or, you can create your own league and play your way!

The playoff seeding rules have changed and if you have the AutoPlayoff Module it is all included! All other official rule changes are incorporated.

You can play along with the season (maybe coaching your favorite team? Can your coaching produce a better record?) or create your own league, draft your own players and live with the ups and downs that a real General Manager and coach endures, with real injuries and all of the personnel moves that happen during a real season. How you play is up to you. There are dozens of ways to play.

Here's What You Get

You will get your first update right away, as soon as you place your order. Then, each Friday, during the regular season, you'll receive the Real-Time Update automatically. There will be a total of 24 updates, including the final update, that includes the complete regular season, on April 16, 2010, just 2 days after the season ends.

Just like every other Cactus League Pro Basketball season, the Cactus League Professional Basketball Real-Time Updates include every player, every actual transaction and the complete schedule so you can begin playing your 2009-10 season immediately. Plus, actual Active/Inactive lists are maintained. Simple installation instructions are included so you can begin playing in just a few seconds. Plus, each set of Real-Time files includes each team's actual current rosters at the moment. You must own Cactus League Professional Basketball For Windows Version 2009 to use Cactus League Real-Time.

Automatic Weekly Updates

Each Friday, during the regular season, an update will be released with all of the new players, transactions, and ratings from the past week. Someone got hurt? You'll have it. A big trade? It's in there. A 10 day contract for a development league player? Yup. You'll always be current! And, just like real-life, you'll see players get hot and cold during the season. The ebb and flow and streaks that make up Professional Basketball have never been more accurately simulated.

If you wish, you can play the season as it unfolds using the actual schedules, rosters, and transactions. Can your game time coaching decisions improve the team?

Or, Draft Your Own Teams

You can create your own leagues with the teams you want and draft players onto your rosters. You can use the Cactus League Import and Export functions to run your league and manage your stats just like you do with Past Seasons. Or, play the league yourself.

Are More Realistic Than Ever

Now, you can have a true fantasy league. The star player that you drafted this week might get hurt next week. Your coaching and General Manager challenges will be just like real-life!

Payment, Delivery & Installation Is Easy Than Ever

We have contracted with PayPal to manage this season's Real-Time subscriptions. You don't need a PayPal account to subscribe to Real-Time. You can subscribe with just a few keystrokes. Plus, Real-Time Update delivery is improved this season. Since more and more Internet Service Providers are blocking file attachments from e-mails, you can now download each update from a special web page created just for you. Each Friday, you will get a simple e-mail message notifying you of the update and giving you your link to get the update.

Complete instructions are included for easy installation. You download each update from a special web page. Installation of the Real-Time Subscription files is identical to installing any other Cactus League Professional Basketball season.
