What is the Encyclopedia Module?

The Encyclopedia Module displays statistical reports based upon all of your installed seasons.

Get The Big Picture

While the Statistics Module shows stats from one season at a time, the Encyclopedia Module combines all of the seasons to create reports showing "the big picture." Like the Statistics Module, you can display and create Actual and Replay Team and Individual reports. Replay reports include statistics that are compiled from games you play with Cactus League Professional Basketball For Windows.

The Most Detailed Organized Resource
For Professional Basketball Statistics

The Encyclopedia Module includes dozens of Team and Individual "Standard Reports" that you can easily display by clicking an icon. You can also create your own reports, including any available statistic in any order and you can format it in almost anyway imaginable. When displaying Actual Statistics you can have an incredibly detailed, easy-to-use statistical history of Professional Basketball at your fingertips.

Bios Have Been Added

Biographical information has been added to almost every one of the 15000+ players who have played professional basketball since 1951-52. The information is incorporated in the game's play-by-play and is displayed in reports.

Works With Your Leagues Too

You can display and create Replay Reports from leagues you create and play. For example, if you have a league called "My League" and play games from several seasons, the Encyclopedia Module will compile those "My League" statistics when creating Replay Reports.

Standard Report Samples

Encyclopedia Module
This screen shot includes 5 different Actual Reports created by the Encyclopedia Module on a computer with all seasons installed. Here is a description of each report, identified by the report heading:

Actual Standings

This is the Actual Season Standings Report which displays each team/season on a separate line. This type of report allows you to compare teams by seasons. This example is sorted by winning percentage, showing you that the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls have the all-time best record.

Actual Standings-Franchise

This is the Actual Season Standings Report that combines each team's season record to give you the franchise totals. Each team is included on one line, showing you how it fared through the life of the team. You can see in this report that the Atlanta Hawks have been in existence  from 1968-2004 and they have won 1472 games during that time.

Actual Individual Statistics

This is the Actual Season Individual Statistics Report that shows each player/season on a separate line. This report is sorted by Points Per Game and shows that Wilt had the highest scoring season in 1961-62. In fact, as you can see, he has the three highest scoring seasons in history.

Actual Individual Statistics-Career

This is the Actual Season Individual Statistics Career Report that combines each player's season statistics and displays the career totals. This report is sorted by player name and includes all of the standard statistics. Each player's career stats are displayed, but the window for this report has been resized so you can't see them. But, they are there! You can see that Oscar Robertson played for only two teams from 1960-74, while Flynn Robinson played for 6 teams in 8 seasons.

Actual Complete Team Report-Career

This is the Actual Complete Team Career Report for the New York Knicks. It includes every player who ever played for Knickerbockers. This is sorted by games played. You can see that Patrick Ewing has played more Knick games, by far, than any other player.

Just Some Of The Examples

The five reports discussed above are just a small sample of the reports you can display and create with the Encyclopedia Module.

Sort Any Way Your Want

All Encyclopedia Module Reports can be sorted by any statistic, so you can look at the data in every way imaginable.

Encyclopedia ModuleThis screen shot shows three of the Standard Replay Reports. We replayed each season from 1990-91 and 2003-04 for these reports. We played the CACTUS LEAGUE, but reports can be displayed from any league you create. Here is a description of each report, identified by the report heading:

Replay CACTUS LEAGUE Team Per Game Averages

This is the Replay Cactus League Team Per Game Averages Season Report. Each team/season is displayed on a separate line, allowing you to compare and evaluate the best/worst team performances. Here you can see that in this 1990-91 to 2003-04 Replay, the 1991-92 Golden State Warriors scored the most. They scored the most in real-life too.

Replay CACTUS LEAGUE Individual Single Game Highs-Career

This report displays each player's Career Single Game Highs in this replay. Dominique, who played for 5 teams in this period, holds the single game high scoring record with 62 points.

Replay CACTUS LEAGUE Complete Team Report

This is the Los Angeles Lakers Complete Team Franchise report for this replay. You can see the Shaq's statistics for each of the 8 seasons he played with the Lakers. But, wait! This isn't Shaq's complete career. Why? Complete Team Reports show only the statistics for the player while he played for that team. How can you see his Orlando Magic stats? Just right-click on his name, select "Career" and this report is displayed: Encyclopedia Module

Actual Career Reports Are Available

Right-click on any player's name in any Encyclopedia Report, then select "Career" to display his Actual or Replay Career Report: Encyclopedia Module

Attention To Detail

You have come to expect "that little extra" when playing Cactus League games. Here is an example of this in the Encyclopedia Module. Many players have changed their name during their career. The most famous is probably Kareem ABDUL-JABBAR, but there any many others. To avoid confusion for you, we have researched each player and incorporated name changes into the reports. For example, you can see that Mahmoud ABDUL-RAUF was known as Chris Jackson prior to 1994: Encyclopedia Module

Create Your Own Reports

There are dozens of reports included with the Encyclopedia Module, but just like the Statistics Module, you can also create your own reports incorporating any statistic in any order, formatted any way you want. The power and flexibility is unmatched: Encyclopedia Module
