How To Backup & Restore Replay Statistics

There are many ways to backup your accumulated Replay Statistics. We recommend the method described below because the procedure is simple, the backup result is one ZIP file and restoring from the ZIP file is simple.

These instructions assume that you are using WinZip 7.0, although there are many other archiving programs available. You can obtain an evaluation copy of WinZip at http://www.winzip.com.

Backing Up

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the season subdirectory. In this example, we are working with the 1996 season. Then, select the league's Replay Statistics subdirectory. Each league's Replay Statistics are in a subdirectory called Stats#, where # is the number of the league, in the order the league appears in the League Management Module. The first league listed is Stats1. The 2nd league listed is Stats2, and so forth. In this example we are working with the 1996 National League, which is League #2. So, double click on Stats2 to display that subdirectory.

There are 3 subdirectories listed: Boxes, History and Total. The files in these 3 subdirectories comprise the Replay Statistics for the 1996 National League Replay we are conducting. These are the files we want to back up.

Start WinZip and click the "New" icon, to create a new archive.

Enter the name of the new archive in the New Archive dialog. You can name the archive anything you wish. In this example, we are naming our archive file Stats2Backup.zip.
Be certain the Add Dialog check box is checked, then press "OK."

Be certain that the options in the "Add" dialog are the same as this screen shot, then click "Add with wildcards."

The Stats2Backup.zip file is created. To insure successful restoring of the Replay Statistics from this archive, do not move it.
